Am i alone in failing to understand what all the fuss is about Paulo Coelho...? That was a rhetorical question - I clearly am. This is the third book of his I have read and each time I thought the ideas and the crafting was both lame and obvious. I also figured that maybe I had just been reading the wrong books. So I decided to give him another chance with The Alchemist - his most famous book.
Conclusion...still don't understand what all the fuss is about. I read it in a couple of afternoons, put it down with a shrug and happily moved onto something better.
Nevertheless, this is an immensely popular book so will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
I picked it up in Nov 2009 at Berlian Inn in Kuta, Bali, and left it there too.
